I watched Old Yeller for the first time the other day. I went in knowing the story, but I still got all misty-eyed at the end. 
It's truly an excellent movie! Full of heart.

I have the DVD Old Yeller. Very sad when he died. Travis sadly had no choice but to shoot him when he got rabies thanks to the wolf.😢
