Loosen Up

Yeah. I think it's safe to say that I'm totally smitten with our ye olde space elves.

Mercutio's smile and laughter is just so infectious! He even got grumpy old Cian to laugh and smile.
Also I'm getting this terrible impulse to properly draw Cast'avan. Like a sexy portrait or something. Because Cast'avan is sexy in a fluffy bird way...yeah. Also I get the feeling he knows more than he lets on...

I had a lot of fun with this one--got to play a little bit with lighting, but I also tried out a different method of coloring.

It's A Start The shift from the bare, dark, silence of space to a bright, warm, forest world used to be jarring for Cian.  Now it was as simple as breathing.  The forests of Sesmia were soaked in humidity, making Cian's dark curls frizz out and sweat begin to coat his skin.  It wasn't unenjoyable, but he knew planets with milder climates.  He also knew planets with worse climates, but that wasn't important.  Curiously, Mercutio didn't seem bothered by the muggy climate.  The humidity made his straight hair a bit wavier, but he didn't look as uncomfortable as Cian knew he had to be.  Mercutio still had that silly smile on his face, and he walked with a def
