I had kind of sworn off doing "tutorials". But I was bored, and I thought that maybe I could offer a few tips that might help spark imagination and/or critical thinking. This barely even scratches the surface for hair (and hair accessories), but I think it's a good enough jumping off point. My main point with this (and all of my "tutorials" really) is this: everything is different, everything varies. What affects one thing may not affect another, and if it does affect something else it will not react the same way.
Observe, reference, experiment, and of course, practice.
Real life, movies, classical artwork (study the masters, it's worth it), etc.
