Beast: Aaargh! That hurts!
Belle: If you'd hold still, it wouldn't hurt as much!
Beast: Well if you hadn't have run away, this wouldn't have happened.
Belle: If you hadn't frightened me, I wouldn't have run away!
Beast: Well you shouldn't have been in the west wing!
Belle: Well, you should learn to control your temper. Now, hold still. This might sting a little.
Belle: By the way, thank you for saving my life.
Beast: You're welcome.
The first of hopefully many of my favorite couples~
You know, Belle and Beast are actually not on the top of my 'favorites' list. Don't misunderstand me--I do love these two and their movie to pieces, but they're just not at the top of the list.
As of right now, my 'favorites' list for Disney movies and couples is as follows: Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, Atlantis: the Lost Empire, Beauty and the Beast. :3
I decided to stay away from the dancing scene because that is just super-predictable. So, I came up with this. Beasty and Belle outside. I guess Belle got kinda cold since Beast is holding her.
My favorite dress for Belle is actually the green one, but I opted for the pink one because I think it's more iconic. You know, it's the scene where she first starts to realize her love for him.
Drawing Belle's hair was a little difficult at first--it took me a few minutes to figure out how it twists upon itself. And drawing the Beast is just a given difficulty (although I found the coloring of him to be more difficult than drawing him). XP
I tried some new things for this picture. Snow, for one. I hate doing snow. I've done it two or three time before this, but I still hate it. :3 The other new thing I tried was that high horizon line. Never really tried that before, but I think it turned out okay. ^_^ And lastly, this is the first time I sketched something in red, and then penciled over that with a regular pencil. I took out the red in photoshop leaving only the nice clean pencils. I don't think I'll ever go back to non-colored pencils~
I decided to go with my painting coloring style for this one; I wanted it to be very soft and light. Like their love~
For this only being the second time drawing Belle and Beast (I drew them once about two or three years ago), I think it turned out well.Couples CollectionCommission Information
