I love Edgar Rice Burroughs' Barsoom series. I've read up through A Fighting Man of Mars, and what can I say? They are all awesome novels--incredible, fantastic, wonderful! I'll probably be kinda sad when I finish the last one.
And yes, there will be more Barsoom couples. I love those martians!

Well, I doubt too many of my watchers know who these are, so...
This is John Carter, and his incomparable Dejah Thoris. A chieftain and his princess.

I thought about doing this one digitally... but then I thought, why not be daring? And my sister put in: "Well, you can only get better with watercolors," so there you have it! A watercolored John Carter and Dejah Thoris. And look! An actual background! It was my first try.

I couldn't find my white charcoal, so I used white acrylic paint. The white highlights aren't exactly what I wanted them to be, but that's okay. Work with what cha got. Which reminds me that I'm down to my last piece of watercolor paper! :^0

Well, I hope you like my representation of these immortal characters. <:^) (There are a lot better designs out there for these guys than my own, but I wanted to try my hand at designing them.)
